Understanding, Reaching and Servicing the Hispanic Audience

Content/Description:

Are your intake workers, career counselors feeling uneasy or lacking basic understanding and communications skills to effectively serving the Hispanic/Multicultural job seekers? Are your outreach efforts falling short of expectations? How do you promote your services to non-English dominant folks and invite them to participate in your programs?

We all know that these communities are growing at an unprecedented rate, are much younger than the general population and given the retirement of “baby boomers”, they currently constitute the new workforce of America.

In this highly participatory workshop, I will apply our “URS” methodology (Understand, Reach and Service) and develop a roadmap to provide options and solutions to solve the above mentioned challenges.

Attendees’ input is an essential component because we will respond to the specific situations they have faced and want to make sure they can be better equipped the next time they encounter any situation. This methodology has proven to work effectively in the for-profit, non-profit and academic sectors.

 Key Takeaways from the Event:

As a result of this workshop, participants will

  • Understand how to strategically target, reach, and service the Hispanic/Multicultural communities.
  • Master the tools and strategies needed to effectively carry out their recruitment, career counseling mission.
  • Improve the quality of their service through in-culture, in-language communications.
